Merry Christmas!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. I have been busy buying last minute gifts, attending wonderful holiday parties, catching up with friends while I am on break from work, and enjoying sleeping in! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and I will be back in the swing of things soon!

Happy Thanksgiving

I am so thankful for my family. Especially these two little turkeys (and of course all of you who have made this blogging experience so fun)!

Seawall Half Marathon

Three of my besties and I ran our first half marathon this weekend in Galveston. The weather forecast was projected to be nothing less than perfect, however I think the heat index was slightly higher than we expected. I was so sore after the race and after 11 hours of sleep last night, I think I have finally recovered!

We are split on the decision to ever do one again. I think Brooke is ready to sign up for her next one, Abby and I may try again next year, and Kaydi swears she is done. I am so proud of everyone and really appreciate the support of friends who called and our families who all came to show their support along the way! I don’t think I could have gotten through it without seeing the pink pom poms waiving at every three miles!

Go TEAM CHLOE!!!

We scored way too much candy. I usually throw it all away, but this year I have a plan. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s episode to see what The Caped Crusader and Boy Wonder (along with Super Mom) have up their sleeve…..Same Bat Time. Same Bat Channel.

Dewberry Farms

Today we loaded up after church and took a trip to Dewberry Farms outside of Brookshire. It was such a nice drive and took no time to get there. The weather was perfect and even better than that, the kids were perfect. Jack didn’t mind being in the stroller, and Charlie told us it was better than his trip to Disneyland!! Rex, of course, was thrilled to hear this! I am sure we will be making many more trips here in the future and if you haven’t been, I highly recommend checking it out!

Home Sweet Harrisons

My name is Kate and I have been married to my amazing husband for five years. My best friend Janene's grandmother had a needlepoint picture in her bedroom that read "I love you more today than yesterday, but less than tomorrow". I remember as a kid being confused by this, but now I completely understand and that is exactly how I feel about Rex.

Rex and I have two little boys who keep us very busy. Charlie, 4, started soccer and karate this fall, and Jack turned one last month. I love being a mom and think that it is the best job in the world!
