Someday You’ll Thank Me For This

I just finished reading this hilarious account of being the “perfect” Southern mother. Here are signs that you are the daughter of a Southern mother:

  • You are obsessed with who got Aunt Boo Boo’s silver tea service.
  • You play the “Who do you know?” game.
  • You speak to everybody, even tacky people.
  • You know about deviled egg plates, pledge pins, and the importance of middle names.

This book not only provides great tales of being a Southern mother and a DSM (Daughter of a Southern Mother) it is also filled with good Southern recipes.

Check out the book (and the synopsis) here.

Other books by the author include equally entertaining Being Dead is No Excuse: The Official Southern Ladies’ Guide to Hosting the Perfect Funeral and Somebody is Going to Die if Lily Beth Doesn’t Catch that Bouquet: The Official Southern Ladies’ Guide to Hosting the Perfect Wedding.
